About Rho
Rhodesia Butler is a transformational servant leader with over 35 years of experience as an educator, entrepreneur, and youth advocate. From classroom teacher to school principal, she has dedicated her career to empowering students, supporting educators, and strengthening communities. Rhodesia served at Jean Ribault High School, Oceanway Middle School, Highlands Middle School in District 4 and a host of other schools in our District.
Rhodesia has served as Principal of School of Success Charter Middle School, Assistant Principal and Dean at multiple Duval County Public Schools middle and high schools and led instructional improvement across five campuses as a Regional Assistant Principal. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and has consistently driven academic growth, equity, and student success.
As the longtime CEO of Simply Rho Lee 3, Rhodesia has mentored youth through the arts for decades, fostering creativity, discipline, and confidence. Today, she serves with the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida, where she champions both academic enrichment and innovative STEM initiatives that prepare students for the future.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a long serving member of Bethal Baptist Institutional Church. Rhodesia has also served on boards including the United Negro College Fund and Florida Black Excellence. Her leadership is rooted in faith, service, and a lifelong commitment to helping youth realize their dreams. She is the mother of 3 adult daughters who were all products of our Duval County Public School system and 3 amazing grandchildren.
With deep experience, proven results, and unwavering passion, Rhodesia Butler is ready to bring visionary leadership to School Board District 4.
